President
Jasmine Williams
Jasmine, originally from Houston, Texas, is a 3L at Tulane Law. She holds a Masters of Educational Psychology and Bachelors of Finance from Texas A&M - College Station where she competed all four years for the Aggies Women''s Basketball Team. She has held positions with the NWSL and Lead 1 Association for the majority of her law school career. Being an active member in the Tulane moot court program and serving as a mentor to incoming 1L’s at Tulane, she's been fortunate enough to serve on the SLS board for the entirety of her time at Tulane. She takes the reins of the society with gratitude and full confidence in the executive board that surrounds her to continue to grow the vision of the society.
Vice President
Alex De La Osa
Alex is a rising 3L from Orlando Florida. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida, where he majored in Sport Management. In his time at the University of Florida Alex was a four-year member of the marching band in addition to working as a student photographer for the university’s athletic association. Alex came to Tulane with a focus on sports law and is working towards a Sports Law Certificate, he is also on the executive board for the Sports Law Society and works as an intern in Tulane Athletics’ compliance office. In addition to sports law, Alex is an assistant coach of Tulane’s Moot Court Alternative Dispute Resolution team and a Peer Fellow in the Dean Rufus Harris Peer Fellow Program. Alex moved to New Orleans with his partner Brianna and his dog Cannon.
Chief Administrative Officer
Julia Harter
Julia is originally from Western New York and is a 2L at Tulane Law. She is extremely excited to be joining the SLS executive board as the Chief Administrative Officer. She has experience working as an in-house corporate law clerk during her law school career. In addition to the SLS board, Julia is also a member of the Tulane Professional Football Negotiation Competition Board.
Chief Impact Officer
Brendan Garfinkel
Brendan, from Weston, MA, is a 2L at Tulane Law. Brendan graduated from the University of Southern California, majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Entertainment Industry. Brendan has worked at a music management company, a record label, a sports agency, and in financial media. This past summer, Brendan worked in the legal department for an NBA team. Brendan is the Chief Impact Officer of the Sports Law Society, a member of the Tulane Professional Basketball Negotiation Competition Board, a member of The Sports Lawyers Journal, and was the 2022-23 Sports Law Society 1L Class Representative. After graduation, Brendan intends to be a transactional sports or entertainment lawyer.
Chief People Officer
Briley Chambers
Briley, originally from Benton, Kentucky, is a 2L at Tulane Law. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and minors in Community and Leadership Development and Criminology from the University of Kentucky. She has experience working in collegiate athletics compliance for both the University of Louisville and Tulane University. In addition to serving as Chief People Officer of the Tulane Sports Law Society, Briley is a Junior Member of The Sports Lawyers Journal and a board member of the Tulane International Fútbol Negotiation Competition.
Chief Revenue Officer
Austin Lavitt
Austin, originally from Rye Brook, New York, is a 2L at Tulane Law. This is his second year a part of the Tulane Sports Law Society and first year being a part of the executive board. He has worked for four years helping represent players in the NFL for AMDG Sports and is a member of the Tulane Professional Football Negotiation Competition Board. Austin is the Chief Revenue Officer of Tulane’s Sports Law Society.
Junior Finance Officer
Taylor Brown
Taylor, originally from Denver, Colorado, is a 2L at Tulane Law. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a double major in Finance and Sports Management. Previously working for the Frisco Fighters, he spent his 1L summer working for McCarthy Holthus, LLP. In addition to being on the Tulane Professional Basketball Negotiation Competition board and a Junior Member of the Sports Lawyers Journal, Taylor is the Junior Financial Officer of Tulane Sports Law Society.
